Improving Town Centre Footfall

Improving Town Centre Footfall

Interweaved throughout its main action groups (below), Sleaford Town Team aims to address various barriers to footfall in the town centre, including opening hours, the variety of shops and the town's appearance.
Unfortunately, it is a widely held belief that the town centre has "nothing to offer" and it is generally perceived to be run down and in need of a makeover. Shoppers can also feel put off by the traffic running through Sleaford's centre.

Sleaford Town Team aims to tackle various obstacles to get the local community using the high street again, and to encourage visitors and tourists to explore the town centre. This will primarily be accomplished through events and activities carried out as part of the other action groups. Therefore footfall is too important to have a single action group leader. Instead, it is a common goal of all members and will be impacted through each and every activity undertaken by the Town Team.
